About Lyrical Lemonade

Lyrical Lemonade, founded by Cole Bennett in 2013, started as a humble internet blog during his high school days in Plano, Illinois. With the support of his mother, who suggested the name and provided him with a video camera, Bennett laid the foundation for what would become a groundbreaking multimedia company. Initially focusing on the Chicago rap scene, Lyrical Lemonade quickly became known for its music videos, documentaries, and interviews that highlighted up-and-coming hip-hop talent.

The platform gained momentum by working with local artists such as Vic Mensa, Taylor Bennett, King Louie, and Ridgio, before expanding its reach to the broader SoundCloud rap movement. In 2016 and 2017, Bennett collaborated with rising stars like Famous Dex, Lil Pump, Smokepurpp, and Ski Mask the Slump God, contributing to their growing popularity.

A major turning point came in 2018 with the release of the music video for Juice WRLD’s Lucid Dreams, which soared to number two on the Billboard Hot 100 and racked up over a billion views on YouTube, solidifying Bennett’s reputation in the music industry.

Lyrical Lemonade has since expanded its influence, branching out into merchandise, launching a line of lemonades, and hosting the annual Summer Smash Festival in Chicago. Bennett’s innovative approach to music videos—combining vibrant visuals with hip-hop culture—has played a significant role in shaping the genre and helping countless artists rise to fame.
