Lourdiz, born Alyssa Lourdiz Cantu on April 18, 2001, in San Antonio, Texas, is an American singer-songwriter who’s making waves with her fusion of hip-hop, alternative R&B, and Tejano music. Drawing from her Mexican-American heritage, she blends traditional influences with contemporary beats, creating a sound that feels both fresh and deeply rooted.

Lourdiz’s journey into music started in her teens when she began writing songs for artists like Anitta, Swae Lee, and G-Eazy. Her big break came in 2018 when she signed with Dr. Luke’s Prescription Songs publishing company, officially kicking off her career as a professional songwriter. In 2020, she launched her solo career with the release of her debut single, “I’m Pissed.” The track was just the beginning, followed by hits like “Suicide Down” featuring Lil Gotit and “Ground Control” with Jon Z.

Her rise continued in 2021 when she was selected for SoundCloud’s “First on SoundCloud” artist accelerator program, which helped boost her visibility in the industry. By 2023, Lourdiz had cemented her place in mainstream music with a feature on Nicki Minaj’s Pink Friday 2, specifically on the track “Cowgirl.”
