Miles Parks McCollum, known professionally as Lil Yachty, is an American rapper and singer born on August 23, 1997, in Mableton, Georgia. He first gained widespread recognition in 2015 with the viral success of his track “One Night” from his debut EP Summer Songs. This initial breakthrough was followed by the release of his debut mixtape, Lil Boat, in March 2016, which solidified his presence in the music industry. That same year, Lil Yachty signed a joint venture record deal with Quality Control Music, Capitol Records, and Motown Records, further establishing his burgeoning career.
