Tyler-Justin Anthony Sharpe, known professionally as Lil Tecca, is an American rapper, singer, and songwriter who has significantly impacted the music scene with his distinctive sound and relatable lyrics. Born on August 26, 2002, in Queens, New York, to Jamaican immigrant parents, Tecca grew up in the Springfield Gardens neighborhood before relocating to Cedarhurst on Long Island. From a young age, he harbored dreams of becoming an NBA player, but his focus shifted to music around the age of 12, setting him on a path that would lead to widespread fame.

Tecca’s early interest in music manifested through playful diss tracks he created with friends using an Xbox microphone. These early experiments in rap laid the groundwork for his later success. His first taste of popularity came with the release of “Tectri,” a collaboration with his friend Lil Gummybear, in early 2017.
