In 2004, Lecrae co-founded Reach Records, an independent label focused on faith-based hip-hop. His debut album, Real Talk, was released that same year, and by 2006, After the Music Stops had earned widespread recognition, topping gospel charts. His third album, Rebel (2008), expanded his reach, reaching the Billboard 200 and marking Lecrae’s breakthrough into mainstream music.
Lecrae’s career continued to soar with Gravity (2012), which earned him the Grammy Award for Best Gospel Album, making him the first hip-hop artist to win in that category. His 2014 album, Anomaly, debuted at number one on the Billboard 200, solidifying his place in the music industry.
