About Kylie Cantrall

Kylie Cantrall, whose real name is Kylie Lorena Cantrall, born on June 25, 2005, is an American actress, singer, songwriter, and social media personality known for her versatile talents and vibrant presence in the entertainment industry. Raised by a music producer father and a dancer and choreographer mother, Cantrall was immersed in the arts from a young age. She began learning to dance at the age of two and frequently accompanied her father to recording sessions, which ignited her passion for music and performance.

At just seven years old, Cantrall participated in a dance competition in Las Vegas, showcasing her early dedication and talent. By the time she was eight, she became fascinated with the music of TLC after watching their biopic, “Crazy Sexy Cool.” This interest led her to delve deeper into their music, significantly shaping her musical tastes and aspirations. With the support of her father, she launched a YouTube series called “Hello Kylie,” where she reviewed Disney Channel shows and began singing and performing online, including on platforms like musical.ly (now TikTok).

In 2016, Cantrall signed with a talent management agency and released her first single, “Sleep Is 4 Suckas,” under the moniker Hello Kylie. This debut marked the beginning of her music career and led to guest appearances on Disney Channel shows like “Bizaardvark” and “Raven’s Home.” At the age of 13, she landed the lead role in the Disney Channel series “Gabby Duran & the Unsittables,” which required her to leave public school to focus on her burgeoning career. The series premiered in 2019 and quickly gained popularity, with Cantrall performing the theme song, “I Do My Thing.” She reprised her role for the show’s second season in 2021 before its cancellation later that year.

Expanding her acting repertoire, Cantrall voiced the character Savannah in the animated film “Ron’s Gone Wrong” (2021) and featured on R3hab’s single “Sad Boy” alongside Jonas Blue and Ava Max. In 2022, she started a TikTok series called “10 Minute Songs,” where she created songs based on words suggested by her fans, demonstrating her quick creativity and musical talent. That same year, it was announced at the D23 Expo that Cantrall would star in the Disney film “Descendants: The Rise of Red” as the lead character Red, the daughter of the Queen of Hearts. She also joined the recurring cast of “High School Musical: The Musical: The Series” for its fourth season.

In August 2023, Cantrall became the first ambassador for TruSkin cosmetics, further solidifying her influence and presence in the entertainment and fashion industries. During the 2023 SAG-AFTRA strike, she focused on her music, releasing an EP inspired by her TikTok series and a single titled “Elastic.” Her debut album is scheduled for release in 2024, promising to further showcase her musical versatility.

Influenced by 90s artists like TLC, Britney Spears, Janet Jackson, and Aaliyah, as well as modern icons like Brandy, Mariah Carey, Beyoncé, Rosalía, and Becky G, Cantrall’s artistic style is a blend of past and present influences. Her multifaceted career, encompassing acting, singing, and social media, highlights her dynamic talent and her potential to continue making significant strides in the entertainment world.
