Knuckle Puck

Knuckle Puck is an energetic and emotionally charged pop-punk band from the southern suburbs of Chicago, Illinois, formed in 2010. Known for their blend of introspective lyrics and lively performances, the band consists of Joe Taylor (lead vocals), Kevin Maida (lead guitar), John Siorek (drums), Nick Casasanto (rhythm guitar and co-lead vocals), and Ryan Rumchaks (bass guitar and backing vocals).

Starting out as a cover band, Knuckle Puck drew from their shared love of pop-punk and emo influences, quickly gaining attention for their raw, heartfelt sound. The band’s name is a nod to a “Stick To Your Guns” t-shirt with “Knuckle Puck Crew” printed on it, referencing a memorable moment from the 1994 film D2: The Mighty Ducks.

Their debut EP Acoustics (2012) marked the beginning of their journey, showcasing their unrefined yet passionate musical style. In 2015, they released their full-length album Copacetic, which earned critical praise for its introspective lyricism and energetic pop-punk sound. Shapeshifter (2017) further established their presence in the genre, while their 2020 release 20/20 brought a more optimistic tone, resonating with fans amid challenging times.

In 2023, Knuckle Puck released Losing What We Love, an album that explores themes of personal growth, resilience, and change. Known for their blend of heartfelt lyrics and infectious energy, Knuckle Puck continues to maintain a strong, dedicated fanbase and remains a driving force in the contemporary pop-punk scene.
