Jasmine Sandlas, a talented American playback singer, songwriter, and performer, has made a remarkable impact on both Punjabi and Bollywood music. Born on September 4, 1985, in Jalandhar, Punjab, India, she moved to Stockton, California, at the age of 12. It was there that she developed a passion for music and began writing songs at just 16 years old.

Her musical journey took off in 2008 with her underground album The Diamond, marking the start of her career in the Punjabi music scene. In 2012, she gained further recognition with her collaborative album Gulabi, created alongside renowned rapper Bohemia. However, it was her Bollywood debut with the song “Yaar Na Miley” from the film Kick in 2014 that truly propelled her into the spotlight. The song earned her widespread acclaim and multiple accolades, including the PTC Punjabi Film Award for Most Popular Song of the Year in 2016.

Jasmine’s versatility has also led to appearances on prestigious platforms such as TEDx Talks and MTV Coke Studio, further solidifying her influence in the music industry. In 2020, she released her third album, What’s in a Name, showcasing her evolving sound. She continued to explore new musical horizons with The Great Punjabi Experiment in 2021, a project that blended various styles into nine fresh tracks. In 2022, she dropped the EP Tini and the single “Jee Jeha Karda,” continuing her artistic evolution.
