Jasmeen Akhtar

Jasmeen Akhtar, born on July 18, 1991, in Ludhiana, Punjab, India, is a talented Punjabi singer whose soulful voice has earned her recognition in the vibrant Punjabi music scene. Coming from a family steeped in musical tradition, with her elder sister Gurlez Akhtar also being a renowned singer, Jasmeen’s passion for music was nurtured from a young age.

She completed her schooling at Government High School in Ludhiana and later graduated from Punjabi University, Patiala. Jasmeen’s musical journey began in 2014 when she debuted under Korona Productions. Her early work included popular tracks like “Chan Makhna,” “Chandigarh,” and “Ishq,” which quickly gained traction in the Punjabi music industry.

Throughout her career, Jasmeen has collaborated with top artists such as Diljit Dosanjh and Gippy Grewal, further solidifying her place in the industry. In 2020, she lent her voice to the popular web series “Yaar Jigree Kasooti Degree” with the song “Hostel Boliyan.” She also contributed to the soundtrack of the 2023 film “Godday Godday Chaa” with the track “Sakhiye Saheliye.”

Jasmeen has also explored acting, appearing in music videos such as “Hyper” alongside Gurpreet Billa in 2022. She remains active on social media, engaging with her ever-growing fanbase.
