Rodriquez Jacquees Broadnax, better known by his stage name Jacquees, was born on April 15, 1994, in Decatur, Georgia. From an early age, he was drawn to music and dance, influenced by icons like Michael Jackson and The Temptations. By the age of nine, Jacquees was already performing in talent shows, showcasing his natural vocal talent.

Jacquees’ professional music career began in 2011 with the release of his debut EP, I Am Jacquees, which featured collaborations with notable artists such as T.I. This initial project set the stage for a series of successful mixtapes, including Round of Applause (2011) and Fan Affiliated (2012). His 2014 EP 19 featured collaborations with Chris Brown and Lloyd, and it earned recognition by peaking at number 31 on the R&B charts.

In 2014, Jacquees signed with Cash Money Records, marking a pivotal moment in his career. His breakthrough came in 2016 with the release of “B.E.D.,” a hit single that earned double platinum certification and charted at number 69 on the Billboard Hot 100. This success paved the way for his debut studio album, 4275 (2018), which was certified Gold and featured the popular track “You.”

Jacquees followed up with his album King of R&B in 2019, which debuted at number 20 on the Billboard 200. His third studio album, Sincerely For You, dropped in 2022, and his fourth, Baby Making, was released in 2024, further cementing his place in the R&B genre. Throughout his career, Jacquees has received several award nominations, including at the iHeartRadio Music Awards and BET Awards, reflecting his significant impact on modern R&B music.
