Jackboy

Jackboy, born Pierre Delince on August 27, 1997, in Haiti, is a Haitian-American rapper celebrated for his raw lyricism and unfiltered portrayal of life’s hardships. At just six years old, he relocated with his family to the United States, eventually growing up in Pompano Beach, Florida—a city that would go on to shape much of his sound and persona. Raised in the tough Golden Acres housing projects, Jackboy’s youth was marked by legal troubles and life on the margins. Music became his escape and expression, inspired by Southern rap legends like Gucci Mane and Boosie Badazz. These early experiences laid the foundation for a catalog rooted in survival, pain, and triumph.

Jackboy began turning heads in 2016 with the mixtape Stick Up Kid, but his breakout moment came through his collaborations with longtime friend and fellow Floridian Kodak Black. The two created a buzz with tracks like “G to the A,” putting Jackboy on the radar as a standout in the Sniper Gang collective. Since then, he has carved out his own identity, releasing acclaimed projects such as New Jack City, Lost in My Mind, and his self-titled album Jackboy. His music blends hard-hitting trap beats with introspective bars, often touching on loyalty, betrayal, and ambition. Outside of the booth, Jackboy founded 1804 Records—named in honor of Haiti’s independence year—as a way to empower rising talent from underrepresented backgrounds.
