Imminence

Imminence is a Swedish metalcore band that formed in 2009 in Trelleborg and Malmö. The group consists of vocalist and violinist Eddie Berg, lead guitarist Harald Barrett, rhythm guitarist Alex Arnoldsson, bassist Christian Höijer, and drummer Peter Hanström. The band emerged from the creative collaboration between Eddie Berg and Harald Barrett, who bonded over their shared passion for metal during their teenage years.

Initially rooted in melodic death metal, Imminence’s sound evolved over time, incorporating more diverse elements of metalcore and acoustic music. Their debut EP, Born of Sirius, was released in 2012, followed by their first full-length album I in 2014. The band’s breakthrough came in 2015 with the single “The Sickness,” which led to a contract with Arising Empire. They continued to expand their musical range with albums like This Is Goodbye (2017) and Turn the Light On (2019).

In 2021, they released their fourth studio album, Heaven in Hiding, which received widespread acclaim for its innovative combination of metalcore and acoustic music. With singles such as “Temptation” and “Ghost,” Imminence cemented their position as a dynamic and genre-blending act in the global metal scene. Known for their intense live performances, they have gained a dedicated international following and continue to evolve their sound with each release.
