HoneyWorks

HoneyWorks is a Japanese music collective known for their emotional songs and captivating storytelling. Formed in 2010, the group consists of composers Gom and shito, along with illustrator Yamako. They first gained attention on the platform Nico Nico Douga for their Vocaloid compositions, and since then, they’ve evolved into a multimedia powerhouse.

At the heart of HoneyWorks’ success is their flagship project, the Confession Executive Committee: Love Series (Kokuhaku Jikkō Iinkai: Ren’ai Series). This romantic narrative unfolds through a combination of songs, manga, novels, and anime adaptations, creating a rich universe that resonates with fans due to its relatable characters and heartfelt themes.

In 2015, HoneyWorks formed a partnership with singer CHiCO, resulting in the unit CHiCO with HoneyWorks. Their collaboration brought hits like Sekai wa Koi ni Ochiteru, gaining significant popularity. However, in 2023, the duo parted ways, with CHiCO pursuing a solo career.

HoneyWorks’ influence extends beyond music, with their songs featured in anime films such as Zutto Mae Kara Suki Deshita and Suki ni Naru Sono Shunkan o. Their ability to blend music, art, and storytelling has created a loyal fanbase and a lasting impact on Japanese pop culture, continuing to shape the landscape of contemporary media.
