Hiroyuki Sawano (澤野 弘之), born on September 12, 1980, in Tokyo, Japan, is a highly acclaimed composer, arranger, lyricist, pianist, and music producer. Known for his dynamic and cinematic soundscapes, Sawano has left an indelible mark on anime, television dramas, films, and video games. His signature style blends orchestral, electronic, and rock elements, often infused with powerful vocals in both Japanese and English, which has made his work instantly recognizable and beloved by fans worldwide.

Sawano’s musical journey began at the age of 17, when he studied piano and composition under Nobuchika Tsuboi. His breakthrough came in 2006 with his score for the television drama Team Medical Dragon. However, it was his 2013 soundtrack for the anime Attack on Titan that propelled him into the international spotlight, establishing him as a leading composer in the anime industry.

In 2014, Sawano expanded his creative horizons with the formation of his vocal project, SawanoHiroyuki[nZk]. This project featured collaborations with various artists and produced iconic tracks that became synonymous with popular anime openings and endings, such as Aldnoah.Zero and Seraph of the End.
