Halestorm is a powerhouse American rock band that has carved out a fierce reputation with their electrifying sound and unapologetically bold energy. Hailing from Red Lion, Pennsylvania, the group was founded in 1997 by siblings Lzzy Hale and Arejay Hale, who began making music together as kids—Lzzy on piano and vocals, Arejay behind the drums. What started as a family passion project soon evolved into something much bigger, with their father, Roger Hale, even playing bass during their early days.

The band found its full form with the addition of guitarist Joe Hottinger in 2003 and bassist Josh Smith in 2004. After signing with Atlantic Records in 2005, Halestorm burst onto the scene with their self-titled debut in 2009. Their raw, high-octane sound quickly won over fans, especially with tracks like “I Get Off.” But it was their 2012 follow-up, The Strange Case Of…, that solidified their status, thanks to hits like “Love Bites (So Do I),” which earned them a Grammy for Best Hard Rock/Metal Performance in 2013—the first time a female-fronted band had taken home the award in that category.

Known for their relentless touring, Halestorm thrives on stage, delivering high-voltage performances that have made them favorites at rock festivals and on global tours. With a catalog that includes multiple studio albums, live recordings, and fan-favorite cover EPs, they continue to evolve. Their 2022 album, Back from the Dead, proves they’re not just surviving in rock—they’re leading the charge.
