Gur Sidhu

Gursimran Singh Sidhu, better known as Gur Sidhu, is a prominent Indian singer, rapper, and record producer who has made a significant mark on the Punjabi music and film industry. Born on July 11, 1997, in Chak Fateh Singh Wala, Bathinda, Punjab, India, he comes from a musical family, with his father, Sukhbir Singh Sidhu, being a well-known Punjabi singer.

In 2014, Gur Sidhu moved to Brampton, Ontario, Canada, to pursue further studies at Sheridan College. During his time in Canada, he fully committed to his music career and adopted the stage name Gur Sidhu. He made his debut with the single “Moved On” in May 2019 under the Brown Town Music label, which marked the beginning of his rise in the music industry.

Gur Sidhu gained widespread recognition with his hit single “8 Parche” in 2019, a collaboration with singer Baani Sandhu under White Hill Music. Following this success, he continued to release popular tracks such as “Bro Oye” and “Pyar Bolda.” His versatility as an artist also led him to contribute to Punjabi cinema, composing and singing tracks for films like “Ardab Mutiyaran” (2019) and “Yaar Chale Bahar” (2022).

In 2021, he released his debut album, Nothing Like Before, featuring hit songs like “Taakre” and “Ashke Ashke.” His continued success includes collaborations like “Bamb Aagya” with Jasmine Sandlas in 2022, which charted on the UK Asian Music Chart and featured prominently on YouTube’s Weekly Charts. His 2024 release, “California Love,” further solidified his global reputation.

With his engaging social media presence and a unique blend of traditional Punjabi sounds with modern influences, Gur Sidhu has established himself as a leading figure in the contemporary Punjabi music scene.
