Glass Tides

Glass Tides is a post-hardcore band from Adelaide, South Australia, known for their powerful sound and emotional depth. Formed in late 2017, the band quickly gained recognition in the Australian music scene. The group consists of Paul Bakker (vocals and guitar), Oscar Lang (bass), George Solomon (drums), and Jack Chambers (guitar and vocals), each bringing their own unique energy to the band’s dynamic.

Since their formation, Glass Tides has built a strong presence across Australia, performing alongside renowned acts like Thrice, Circa Survive, Spiderbait, Body Jar, and Young Lions. Their music blends heavy post-hardcore elements with raw, emotive vocals, resonating deeply with fans nationwide. This fusion of styles has made them stand out in the competitive Australian music landscape.

The band debuted in 2017 with their EP “Thoughts,” which laid the foundation for their unique sound, combining intense instrumentation with heartfelt lyrics. Their follow-up EP, “My Descend” (2018), showcased a more refined style, with deeper themes and further exploration of their musical range.

In January 2020, Glass Tides released their first full-length album, “Wake Me Up,” which received positive reviews. The album’s standout track, “Crawling,” highlighted their ability to balance catchy melodies with intense energy. By mid-2022, the band had amassed over 25 million streams and earned regular airplay on Triple J, solidifying their position as a leading force in the Australian post-hardcore scene.
