In 2003, Lévy moved to Paris to dive deeper into the city’s rich music culture, where he started producing under the name Gesaffelstein. Influenced by artists like Depeche Mode and the Detroit electro scene, he crafted a distinctive sound marked by precise sound design and heavy, resonant basslines.

Over the years, Gesaffelstein has collaborated with some of the biggest names in music. His contributions to Kanye West’s Yeezus album, particularly on tracks like “Black Skinhead” and “Send It Up,” earned him widespread recognition. Gesaffelstein’s debut album, Aleph (2013), was highly praised for its innovative approach to techno, while his 2019 release Hyperion continued to showcase his unique style, featuring collaborations with The Weeknd and Pharrell.
