Gaise Baba

Gaise Baba, born Akinade Ibuoye on August 5, 1986, is a dynamic Nigerian Afro-fusion artist, entrepreneur, and social advocate known for his inspiring fusion of Afrobeat, rap, and gospel music. Singing and rapping fluently in Yoruba, English, and Nigerian Pidgin, Gaise Baba’s work is deeply rooted in faith and cultural storytelling. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Obafemi Awolowo University and further refined his musical expertise with a diploma in Music Business from Berklee College of Music.

Gaise Baba emerged on the Nigerian music scene in 2010 with his breakthrough single “Follow Follow.” His self-titled debut album, Gaise Baba (2011), earned critical acclaim and nominations at prestigious events such as the Nigerian Music Video Awards and Africa Entertainment Awards. Continuing to evolve, his 2020 EP Logo showcased a compelling mix of Afrobeats and gospel with standout tracks like “Jesu Ni Logo” and “Mandem.” In 2022, he released A Decade After, a 13-track album that thoughtfully explores themes of faith, love, and social issues, reflecting his growth as an artist and storyteller.

Beyond his music, Gaise Baba is deeply committed to youth empowerment and cultural development. He founded impactful initiatives like LightOut, ARAMANDA, and Lounge464, which use music and art to inspire and engage young people. Recognized for his contributions, he was named a Cultural Ambassador by the Ekiti State Government. With his powerful messages and authentic sound, Gaise Baba continues to inspire audiences both in Nigeria and beyond, blending artistry with meaningful social impact.
