Gabito Ballesteros, born on July 23, 1999, in Cumpas, Sonora, Mexico, is an emerging star in the corridos tumbados scene, a genre that blends traditional Mexican music with urban and trap influences. Coming from a musical family, he was introduced to music at a young age, learning guitar from his mother and performing in a local children’s mariachi band by the age of eight. This early immersion in music set the foundation for his unique sound that blends classic Mexican rhythms with modern beats.

Gabito first garnered attention in 2020 with his collaboration on “El Rompecabezas” and his solo track “Fuentes de Ortiz.” However, it was his 2022 hit, “El Chamán,” that really launched his career, earning millions of streams and making a lasting impact on the Latin music scene. He continued to grow his fanbase with successful collaborations, including “Vamos Para Arriba” with Junior H and “Y Si Me Miran” alongside Natanael Cano and Luis R. Conriquez.

In 2022, Gabito signed with Natanael Cano’s Los CT label, solidifying his place at the forefront of the corridos tumbados movement. His 2023 tracks, such as “AMG” with Peso Pluma and Natanael Cano and “Lady Gaga” with Junior H, both charted on the Billboard Hot 100 and topped the charts in Mexico. His growing success led to his inclusion in Billboard’s “15 Latin & Spanish Artists to Watch in 2024.”

In May 2024, Gabito released his debut full-length album, The GB, marking a milestone in his career and showcasing his evolution as an artist.
