Forrest Frank

Forrest Frank, born on April 8, 1995, in Fulshear, Texas, is an American singer, songwriter, and producer renowned for his unique blend of lo-fi, hip-hop, and contemporary Christian music. He is best known as one half of the popular pop duo Surfaces, alongside Colin Padalecki.

Growing up in a musically enriched environment, Forrest was influenced by his mother, a worship leader, and his grandmother, a composer of children’s music. This early exposure to a wide variety of sounds played a crucial role in shaping his own musical style. After attending Houston Christian High School, he went on to graduate from Baylor University in 2017 with a business degree.

In 2017, Forrest co-founded Surfaces, a duo that quickly gained attention for their feel-good, self-produced albums like “Surf” and “Where the Light Is.” Their music, often characterized by upbeat melodies and smooth production, garnered widespread recognition.

Expanding beyond the duo, Forrest launched his solo career in 2018 with the album Warm, followed by Effortless in 2020. In 2023, he released multiple projects, including Nostalgia Pack, California Cowboy, New Hymns, and A Merry Lofi Christmas. His 2024 album Child of God debuted at number one on the Billboard Top Christian Albums chart, selling over 22,000 units in its first week. With a growing influence in the Christian music scene, Forrest continues to engage audiences worldwide with his uplifting and soulful sound.
