Flume, born Harley Edward Streten on November 5, 1991, in Sydney, Australia, is a groundbreaking electronic music producer and DJ, widely recognized for his influential work in the future bass genre. His journey into music began at the age of 13 when he discovered a music production program in a cereal box, which sparked his passion for creating electronic music.

Flume’s career gained momentum in 2011 after he won an original artist competition by the Australian label Future Classic. This victory led to the release of his debut EP, Sleepless, which received widespread attention and set the stage for his self-titled debut album, Flume, released in 2012. The album reached the top of the ARIA Albums Chart and was certified double platinum in Australia. It also featured collaborations with artists such as Chet Faker and Jezzabell Doran.

In 2016, Flume solidified his place in the electronic music scene with his second studio album, Skin. The album won the Grammy Award for Best Dance/Electronic Album and featured the smash hit “Never Be Like You.” Continuing to push the boundaries of his sound, Flume released several mixtapes, including Hi This Is Flume in 2019 and Things Don’t Always Go the Way You Plan and Arrived Anxious, Left Bored in 2023.
