Florence Road

Florence Road is a rising indie rock band from Wicklow, Ireland, carving out a space for themselves with their raw emotion and vivid storytelling. Formed in 2019 by childhood friends Lily Aron (vocals), Emma Brandon (guitar), Ailbhe Barry (bass), and Hannah Kelly (drums), the group brings a tight-knit chemistry to their music. Their sound blends the nostalgic spirit of alternative rock with introspective, heartfelt lyrics, often drawing comparisons to artists like Phoebe Bridgers and The Cranberries.

The band first captured widespread attention on TikTok, where their creative fisheye lens covers of songs by artists like Kate Bush and Dominic Fike quickly resonated with a growing audience. In March 2025, Florence Road officially stepped into the spotlight with their debut single, “Heavy,” a stirring track that channels lead singer Lily Aron’s personal struggles through racing guitars and piercing vocals. Their follow-up single, “Caterpillar,” revealed a softer, acoustic side of the band, offering a tender reflection on personal growth and change.

Thanks to their honest lyrics and authentic sound, Florence Road has quickly built a loyal fanbase. They’ve already graced the stage at Dublin’s famed Olympia Theatre and are set to join Wallows as an opening act in Belfast and Glasgow later in 2025 — a huge milestone for the young band.
