Evanescence is an iconic American rock band formed in 1994 in Little Rock, Arkansas, by singer and pianist Amy Lee and guitarist Ben Moody. Initially, the duo recorded independent EPs and performed in local coffee shops, quickly developing a unique sound that blends gothic, alternative rock, and classical music elements.

In 2003, Evanescence released their debut album, “Fallen,” under Wind-up Records. The album became a massive commercial success, selling over 17 million copies worldwide. With hit singles like “Bring Me to Life” and “My Immortal,” the band earned multiple Grammy Awards, including Best Rock Performance and Best New Artist in 2004.

Over the years, Evanescence’s lineup has seen several changes, especially following Moody’s departure in 2003. The band continued to evolve, releasing albums like “The Open Door” (2006), “Evanescence” (2011), and “Synthesis” (2017). Their most recent album, “The Bitter Truth” (2021), marked a return to their rock roots with fresh, original compositions.
