El Malilla, born Fernando Hernández Flores on August 26, 1999, in Valle de Chalco, Estado de México, has rapidly emerged as a leading figure in the Mexican reggaeton scene. His stage name, “El Malilla,” was coined by a producer who affectionately called him “vato malilla” during recording sessions, and the nickname stuck, becoming an integral part of his musical identity.

Initially, El Malilla started in the rap scene, but during the pandemic, he transitioned into urban music, which marked a significant turning point in his career.
