Earl Sweatshirt

Thebe Neruda Kgositsile, known professionally as Earl Sweatshirt, is an American rapper and record producer born on February 24, 1994, in Chicago, Illinois. He rose to prominence as a key member of the Los Angeles-based hip-hop collective Odd Future, which includes notable artists such as Tyler, the Creator and Frank Ocean. Known for his introspective and often abstract lyricism, Earl has cemented himself as a unique voice in contemporary hip-hop.

Earl’s musical journey began at the age of 14 when he adopted the stage name Sly Tendencies before settling on Earl Sweatshirt. At just 16 years old, he released his debut mixtape, Earl, in 2010, showcasing his raw talent and complex lyrical abilities. However, after the mixtape’s release, Earl was sent to a boarding school in Samoa by his mother, causing a brief hiatus from the music scene.
