Park Jae-hyung, better known by his stage name eaJ, is a Korean-American singer, songwriter, and producer born on September 15, 1992, in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Raised in Cerritos, California, he first stepped into the spotlight in 2012 as a finalist on the first season of K-pop Star. That moment launched his career in South Korea, where he joined JYP Entertainment and debuted in 2015 as the lead guitarist and vocalist of the alternative rock band Day6. After parting ways with the group in 2021, Park began carving his own path under the name eaJ, releasing deeply personal and genre-blending music that has found a home on platforms like YouTube and SoundCloud. His solo work is known for fusing alternative rock, R&B, and lo-fi influences, and he’s collaborated with artists like Keshi, DPR Live, and Seori, expanding his reach far beyond the K-pop world.

But eaJ’s artistry isn’t confined to music alone. After publicly sharing his struggles with panic disorder, he launched the “From Friends” campaign, raising $100,000 for the Jed Foundation to support mental health awareness among young people. In 2022, he made his solo debut with the emotionally raw single “Car Crash,” which quickly went viral. Since then, eaJ has completed a sold-out world tour, headlined over 100 shows, and performed at major music festivals including Head in the Clouds. With EPs like Laughing in Insomnia and Medicated Insomnia (both released in 2023), eaJ continues to push creative boundaries while staying grounded in authenticity and vulnerability.
