David Lebón

David Lebón whose full name is David Oscar Lebón, born on October 5, 1952, in Buenos Aires, Argentina, is a celebrated rock musician, known for his exceptional guitar skills, multi-instrumental talent, and influential contributions to Argentine rock. His early life was marked by a blend of diverse cultural influences, which shaped his musical career. His father was Basque-French, and his mother was Russian, and the family lived in Ituzaingó, Buenos Aires, where Lebón spent his formative years. At the age of eight, he moved with his mother to the United States, a period that coincided with the rise of Beatlemania. This experience had a profound impact on his future career, as he was deeply inspired by the Beatles’ music and their landmark Shea Stadium concert in 1965.

Upon returning to Buenos Aires in the late 1960s, Lebón immersed himself in the burgeoning rock scene. Throughout the 1970s, he played a pivotal role in several influential rock bands. His versatility allowed him to contribute to various groups, including Pappo’s Blues, where he played bass and rhythm guitar; Billy Bond y La Pesada del Rock and Roll, where he took on guitar duties; and Pescado Rabioso, where he showcased his skills on vocals, bass, and guitar. His involvement with Color Humano and Polifemo further demonstrated his ability to adapt to different musical roles, including drumming, vocals, guitar, and bass. Subsequent releases, such as “Desnuque” (1984), “Si de algo sirve” (1985), and “7 × 7” (1986), further established his place in the rock music scene. His album “Nunca te puedo alcanzar” (1987) continued to build on his success, followed by “Contactos” (1989), “Nuevas mañanas” (1991), and “En vivo, en el Teatro Coliseo” (Live, 1999). His later works, including “Yo lo soñé” (2002), “Déjà vu” (2009), and “Encuentro supremo” (2016), demonstrated his enduring relevance and artistic evolution.

His personal life includes a notable marriage to Liliana Lagardé from 1973 to 1979, with whom he has four children: Tayda, Panchi, Nayla, and Niklas.
