About DannyLux
DannyLux, born Daniel Balderrama Espinoza on March 12, 2004, in Palm Springs, California, is a Mexican-American singer-songwriter making waves in the regional Mexican music scene. From a young age, music played a central role in his life. At just seven, he received a broken guitar from his father—a seemingly small gesture that sparked a lifelong passion. With his mother’s encouragement, he joined the church choir, where he began developing his distinct voice and guitar skills.
Like many Gen Z artists, DannyLux found his breakthrough on social media. During the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, he began posting song covers on TikTok. One of those covers—“Dame Tu Calor” by Eslabón Armado—caught the attention of the band’s frontman Pedro Tovar. Their subsequent collaboration on the track “Jugaste y Sufrí” became a viral hit and launched DannyLux into the spotlight.
His sound blends sierreño roots with alternative and lo-fi influences, creating something fresh yet nostalgic. His debut album Las Dos Caras del Amor (2021) introduced his heartfelt style, followed by projects like Perdido en Ti, Limerencia, DLUX, and EVOLUXION, each showing growth and experimentation.
DannyLux’s rise hasn’t been limited to streaming platforms. He opened for Coldplay in Mexico in 2022, performed at Coachella in 2023, and headlined his own “Ambición Tour” across the U.S., building a passionate fanbase.
