DaBoii

DaBoii, born Wayman Barrow Jr. on August 14, 1997, in Vallejo, California, is a dynamic rapper who has made a lasting impact on the Bay Area hip-hop scene. Growing up in Vallejo, DaBoii was exposed to music early on, honing his craft alongside his future SOB X RBE bandmate, Yhung T.O. The two began recording tracks with minimal equipment, using iPhones for vocals and PlayStation for beats.

In 2016, DaBoii co-founded the hip-hop collective SOB X RBE, which was formed by merging two local rap crews—DaBoii, Slimmy B, and Lul G’s Strictly Only Brothers (SOB) with Yhung T.O.’s Real Boi Entertainment (RBE). The group quickly gained attention with tracks like “Calvin Cambridge” and “Can’t Tame Us,” but their big break came in 2018 with the release of “Paramedic!” on the Black Panther movie soundtrack, which went platinum.

After the group disbanded around 2019, DaBoii pursued a solo career, releasing projects such as Neva Lookin Back (2018), Tour Vibes (2020), and Remotivated (2020). Known for his raw, authentic storytelling and distinctive flow, DaBoii continues to be a leading figure in the Bay Area rap scene, earning respect for his contributions to both the collective and his solo work. His evolution as an artist reflects his resilience and commitment to staying true to his roots.
