CyHi the Prynce, born Cydel Charles Young on September 15, 1984, in Stone Mountain, Georgia, is a celebrated American rapper, singer, and songwriter known for his introspective lyricism and captivating storytelling. Raised in a strict Baptist household, CyHi was initially restricted from listening to hip-hop music, but his love for poetry led him to discover rap in his teenage years. By 16, he was writing rhymes and recording music in studios, fully immersing himself in the craft.

CyHi’s big break came in 2010 when he signed with Kanye West’s GOOD Music label. His appearance on the track “So Appalled” from Kanye’s My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy earned him widespread recognition. His collaborations with West on projects like Cruel Summer and Yeezus further solidified his reputation as a versatile and talented lyricist.

In 2015, after parting ways with Def Jam, CyHi released his long-awaited debut album, No Dope on Sundays, in 2017. The album, praised for blending gospel influences with street narratives, featured collaborations with artists such as Kanye West and 2 Chainz, earning critical acclaim.
