Current Joys

Current Joys is the musical project of Nicholas Foster Rattigan, an American singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and vocalist from Reno, Nevada. Rattigan’s musical journey began under the name The Nicholas Project, where he released music independently on Bandcamp between 2011 and 2012. He later adopted the moniker TELE/VISIONS, debuting with the album Wild Heart in 2013. By 2015, Rattigan transitioned to the name Current Joys, marking a notable shift in his musical style and direction.

Throughout his career, Rattigan has remained prolific, consistently evolving as an artist. His discography includes several albums that showcase his diverse sound, from his early works like Me Oh My Mirror (2015) and A Different Age (2018), to later releases such as Voyager (2021), LOVE + POP (2023), and East My Love (2024). His music is known for its introspective lyrics and unique blend of genres, including indie rock, bedroom pop, and experimental sounds.

In addition to his solo work as Current Joys, Rattigan is also the drummer and lead vocalist for Surf Curse, an indie surf rock band he co-founded with Jacob Rubeck in 2013. This collaboration has further enriched his artistic portfolio, combining his love for surf rock with his introspective and experimental solo work.
