Chase & Status

Chase & Status, the British electronic music duo consisting of Saul Milton (Chase) and Will Kennard (Status), formed in London in 2003. Their musical journey began at university in Manchester, where they bonded over their love for drum and bass, dubstep, grime, and hip-hop. Gaining early attention on BBC Radio 1Xtra, they made waves with tracks like “Love’s Theme” in 2004, quickly establishing themselves as emerging talents.

Their big break came in 2008 with the release of their debut album More Than Alot, which included the hit single “Pieces,” featuring Plan B. This marked the start of their rise in the electronic music world. They further solidified their place in the scene with their 2011 album No More Idols, which debuted at number two on the UK Albums Chart and went on to earn gold certification.

Known for their electrifying live shows, Chase & Status have headlined major music festivals and toured globally. Their 2023 album 2 Ruff, Vol. 1 was a massive success, with four of its singles landing in the UK Top 40 at the same time—a milestone not seen by a UK band since 2010.

Apart from their music, the duo founded MTA Records and have worked with high-profile artists like Rihanna, Tinie Tempah, and Stormzy. Their innovative sound continues to shape and influence the ever-evolving electronic music landscape.
