Bella Poarch, born Belinda Marie Macadengdeng Batumbakal on February 9, 1997, in the Philippines, is a Filipino-American social media personality, singer, and mental health advocate. She spent her early childhood living with her grandmother in the slums of the Philippines until the age of three, when she was adopted by a Filipino mother and an American father who served in the U.S. military. At the age of 13, she moved to Texas with her family after her father’s medical treatment.

In 2017, Bella enlisted in the U.S. Navy, where she served for three years, stationed in Japan and Hawaii. During her time in the Navy, she discovered her passion for content creation. In April 2020, she joined TikTok, quickly becoming one of the platform’s biggest stars. Her lip-sync video to Millie B’s “M to the B” became the most-liked TikTok video at the time, earning her millions of followers and making her one of the most influential TikTok creators by 2025, with over 94 million followers.

In May 2021, Bella Poarch transitioned into music, signing with Warner Records and releasing her debut single, “Build a Bitch.” The song, which tackles societal beauty standards, garnered massive attention, with its music video surpassing 250 million views.
