Beast In Black

Beast in Black is a powerhouse of Finnish heavy metal, founded in 2015 in Helsinki by guitarist and songwriter Anton Kabanen after his split from Battle Beast. Drawing inspiration from both classic power metal and the shimmering sounds of ’80s pop and synth, the band forged a style that’s as anthemic as it is cinematic. Fronted by the soaring vocals of Yannis Papadopoulos and backed by Kasperi Heikkinen (guitar), Mate Molnar (bass), and Atte Palokangas (drums), Beast in Black brings a fresh, electrifying twist to modern metal.

Their debut album, Berserker (2017), served as a bold introduction, but it was From Hell with Love (2019) that catapulted them into the spotlight, offering infectious hooks and high-octane metal anthems. In 2021, they released Dark Connection, a cyberpunk-inspired concept album that paid tribute to manga legend Kentaro Miura. Its lead single, “Moonlight Rendezvous,” blended cinematic storytelling with retro synth vibes, highlighting the band’s unique ability to fuse metal aggression with pop sensibilities.

Known for their theatrical live shows, Beast in Black captivates crowds with synchronized stage moves, powerful visuals, and relentless energy. They’ve become a staple at major festivals like Wacken Open Air and Hellfest, and continue to build a loyal fanbase across Europe and beyond.
