Badshah

Badshah, born Aditya Prateek Singh Sisodia on November 19, 1985, in Delhi, India, is one of the most influential figures in the Indian music industry. Initially performing under the name “Cool Equal,” he later adopted the stage name Badshah, inspired by fellow rapper Yo Yo Honey Singh.

He rose to fame with his 2012 hit “Saturday Saturday,” which was featured in the Bollywood film Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania (2014). This success was followed by a string of chart-topping tracks such as “Kar Gayi Chull” from Kapoor and Sons, “Garmi” from Street Dancer 3D, and “Proper Patola” from Namaste England. In 2019, his song “Paagal” broke records, reaching 74.8 million YouTube views in just 24 hours, though it wasn’t officially recognized due to its promotional methods.

Badshah has expanded his global presence, collaborating with international artists like J Balvin and Tainy on “Voodoo,” featuring Lil Baby. His debut album, O.N.E. (Original Never Ends), was released in 2018, followed by The Power of Dreams of a Kid in 2020. His latest album, Ek Tha Raja, dropped in 2024, featuring collaborations with stars like Raftaar, Karan Aujla, and Nora Fatehi.

In addition to music, Badshah made his acting debut in the 2019 film Khandaani Shafakhana and has served as a judge on MTV Hustle and India’s Got Talent. With numerous awards and a versatile career, Badshah remains a driving force in both Indian and global entertainment.
