About Ave Mujica
Ave Mujica is a fictional all-girl band born from the BanG Dream! multimedia universe, first introduced in the 2025 anime series BanG Dream! Ave Mujica. Unlike the more cheerful and energetic bands in the franchise, Ave Mujica leans into a darker, more introspective tone, with each of its five members embodying a unique persona shaped by personal trauma, identity struggles, or emotional complexity. The band represents a fusion of musical passion and psychological storytelling, offering fans a fresh narrative within the ever-expanding BanG Dream! universe.
At the center of the band is Sakiko Togawa, also known by her stage name Oblivionis. A quiet and serious first-year student at Haneoka Girls’ Academy, Sakiko formed Ave Mujica after the disbandment of her previous group, Crychic. She carries a heavy emotional burden and uses her musical persona to mask her inner turmoil. Her childhood friend Mutsumi Wakaba, aka Mortis, serves as the rhythm guitarist. Mutsumi is a soft-spoken and loyal figure whose dissociative identity disorder becomes a powerful part of her presence on stage—her alter ego Mortis taking on a more assertive role during performances.
The band’s bassist, Umiri Yahata (Timoris), is a stoic and emotionally distant character who views Ave Mujica as just one of her many professional gigs. A first-year at Hanasakigawa Girls’ Academy, Umiri brings a grounded energy to the group. In contrast, Uika Misumi (Doloris), the vibrant lead guitarist and vocalist, has a dual identity as a pop idol and is a longtime friend of Sakiko. Though she thrives in the spotlight, her loyalty to Sakiko is unwavering, and she views her involvement in Ave Mujica as a meaningful departure from the superficiality of idol life.
Finally, Nyamu Yūtenji (Amoris), the energetic and often chaotic drummer, brings the most outwardly expressive personality to the band. A popular online influencer, she is driven by a thirst for attention and recognition, often clashing with Sakiko’s more serious approach. Despite their differences, all five girls contribute their unique experiences and emotional layers to the band’s identity. Through haunting performances and emotionally rich lyrics, Ave Mujica explores deep themes of self-expression, trauma, friendship, and the healing power of music.
