Armstrong

Kerry Armstrong is an abstract expressionist artist based in Melbourne and the founder of Studio Gallery Group, which manages galleries in Armadale, Cheltenham, and Waterloo. Originally from Birregurra, Victoria, Kerry moved to Melbourne in her early years and later made the transition to a full-time art career. She currently lives in Harkaway with her husband, Michael, and their family.

Armstrong’s artistic path began with self-directed studies in abstract expressionism, a style she has continued to explore throughout her career. Her work is characterized by its raw emotional intensity, often reflecting her personal experiences and moments of self-discovery. Through her paintings, Armstrong seeks to capture a deep sense of honesty and vulnerability.

Over the years, Armstrong has held several solo exhibitions, including A Life Seen Through Cut Outs at fortyfivedownstairs in Melbourne, and has been part of group exhibitions such as the Sydney Winter Group Show at Studio Gallery. Her art has garnered attention in respected publications like Vogue Living, Belle, Country Style, and Grand Designs, which has cemented her place in the Australian art scene.
