AR/CO

AR/CO is a dynamic electronic duo based in London, consisting of Australian-born Mali-Koa and British-born Leo Stannard. The two artists crossed paths at a songwriting camp in London in 2019, where they initially worked as collaborators for other musicians. However, their chemistry led them to form AR/CO during the pandemic, marking the beginning of their unique musical journey.

Their sound fuses psychedelic dance-pop with rave-inspired, futuristic elements, drawing comparisons to iconic acts like MGMT and Daft Punk. AR/CO’s debut EP, Origin Stories, was released in July 2024, featuring tracks such as “Cherry Lips” and “Boys Like Girls.” The EP invites listeners into a world of vibrant, boundary-pushing music that blends catchy melodies with experimental beats.

The duo’s goal is to create a liberating space where people can let go of inhibitions and embrace joy through their energetic dance tracks. Influenced by bands like MGMT, Empire of the Sun, and Justice, AR/CO strives to produce timeless music that resonates globally.

Since their inception, AR/CO has made significant strides in the music scene. They have supported major acts like Kygo and 5 Seconds of Summer, collaborated with renowned artists like Sub Focus and 220 KID, and earned a Grammy nomination for their involvement with Kx5 on the hit single “Bright Lights.” With a strong vision and growing fanbase, AR/CO is set to continue their rise in the electronic music world.
