Adam Calhoun

Adam Calhoun is an American rapper, singer, and social media personality known for blending country and hip-hop with raw, unfiltered lyrics. Born on September 5, 1980, in Chicago, Illinois, he worked as a laborer and served in the military before turning to music—a background that heavily influences his storytelling.

Calhoun made his musical debut in 2017 alongside country-rap artist Hosier with their single Salute the Brave, which landed on the Hot Country Songs chart. Their album Made in America followed the same year, but in 2018, Calhoun launched his solo career with AmerAcal and The Throne, the latter sparking controversy with the track Racism.

In 2019, he teamed up with Demun Jones for the EP Crazy White Boy, though their tour was met with protests due to Calhoun’s outspoken and polarizing lyrics. That same year, his solo album War sold 3,200 copies in its first week.

One of his biggest successes came in 2022 when he partnered with rapper Tom MacDonald on The Brave, which became the top-selling album in the U.S. that week. The duo followed up with The Brave II in 2023.
