About 合 (HOP)
Stray Kids’ special album, 合 (HOP), released on December 13, 2024, marks a significant chapter in their musical journey. The title “合” (pronounced Hap) translates to “unity,” symbolizing the group’s strong artistic cohesion and teamwork. This album serves as the launch of their “SKZHOP HIPTAPE” series, which seamlessly fuses traditional elements with modern hip-hop, further pushing the boundaries of their sound.
Leading the album is the powerful single “Walking on Water,” which quickly became a global sensation, amassing over 3 million views on YouTube within the first three hours of its release. The album also features solo tracks from each member—songs that were originally performed during their world tour—giving fans a deeper and more personal look into their individual musical identities. The combination of group and solo work makes 合 (HOP) a standout release that highlights both unity and individuality.
Upon release, the album saw immediate success, selling over 187,000 copies in the U.S. in its first week. This achievement secured Stray Kids their sixth consecutive No.1 spot on the Billboard 200, placing them in an elite category alongside groups like BTS, Dave Matthews Band, and Linkin Park. Fans can get their hands on multiple album versions, including the SKZHOP edition, which comes with exclusive collectibles like a photobook, a CD book, stickers, and photocards. To celebrate the album, Stray Kids announced their massive “Dominate World Tour,” which kicks off in January 2025 and runs through July, with major stops including New York’s Citi Field on June 18.
