Baustelle is an Italian indie rock band formed in the mid-1990s in Montepulciano, Tuscany. Baustelle debuted in 2000 with Sussidiario illustrato della giovinezza, followed by La moda del lento in 2003. Their breakthrough came in 2005 with La malavita, an album that captured their signature blend of influences from The Smiths, Depeche Mode, and film composers like Ennio Morricone and Angelo Badalamenti.
Over the years, Baustelle has released several albums, including Amen (2008), I mistici dell’Occidente (2010), and Fantasma (2013). Their 2017 album, L’amore e la violenza, was followed by L’amore e la violenza: Vol. 2 in 2018. In 2023, they released Elvis, continuing to captivate listeners with their mix of melancholic melodies and thoughtful lyrics.
