About Simula at Wakas

Simula at Wakas, the final chapter in SB19’s trilogy of EPs, was released on April 25, 2025, under Sony Music Philippines. Following Pagsibol (2021) and Pagtatag! (2023), this EP marks both a reflection and a renewal for the group—touching on themes of closure, growth, and fresh beginnings. It’s a culmination of their artistic evolution, shaped by a dynamic team of producers including John Paulo Nase, Joshua Daniel Nase, Simon Servida, Xerxes Bakker, Alawn, Felip Jhon Suson, Luke April, and August Rigo.

Leading the release is the powerful single “DAM,” which dropped earlier on February 28, 2025. The track explores the emotional tension between holding onto personal values and chasing greater dreams. Musically, it fuses hip-hop, folk, EDM, industrial, and prog-rock—an ambitious blend that reflects SB19’s fearless approach to storytelling through sound. The accompanying music video, directed by Alanshiii and produced by 1032 Lab, adds a dramatic, medieval-inspired visual narrative that underscores the song’s emotional weight.

To bring Simula at Wakas to life on stage, SB19 launched a world tour beginning with a sold-out show at the Philippine Arena on May 31, 2025. The tour continues across major cities including Taipei, Singapore, and select North American stops, with additional shows planned in Hong Kong and Tokyo—further cementing the group’s global reach.

This EP doesn’t just close a chapter for SB19—it captures their journey, resilience, and commitment to their craft. Simula at Wakas is more than just a farewell to a trilogy; it’s a declaration of everything they’ve become and everything they’re still becoming.
