About Ginkgo
Ginkgo, the highly anticipated second studio album from British indie rock band Panchiko, is set to be released on April 4, 2025, via Nettwerk. Building on the band’s signature blend of 1990s nostalgia and modern innovation, Ginkgo marks a bold departure from their earlier work. The album seamlessly integrates a mix of influences, ranging from the electronic experimentation of Electric Light Orchestra to the atmospheric qualities of Radiohead’s OK Computer, while also incorporating elements reminiscent of Rage Against the Machine’s intense flow.
The album’s lead single, “Ginkgo,” introduces the overarching themes of nature and change. The accompanying music video takes a quirky, Gladiator-inspired approach, featuring chickens in a playful narrative that adds a unique touch to the band’s creative expression.
In celebration of the album’s release, Panchiko is offering limited edition vinyl variants—blue and ultra-transparent, and pink and ultra-transparent—with only 250 copies of each available. Fans can pre-order these exclusive vinyls via the band’s Bandcamp page, with shipments expected around the album’s official release date.
Ginkgo represents a leap forward for Panchiko, blending deeply introspective lyrics with an eclectic mix of musical influences, reflecting their ongoing artistic growth. Available for pre-order now, the album will be released digitally on April 4, 2025, offering a fresh and exciting soundscape for fans to explore.
