Equus Asinus

Men I Trust, the Montreal-based indie band, unveiled their latest album Equus Asinus on March 19, 2025. The trio, consisting of Emma Proulx (vocals and guitar), Jessy Caron (guitar and bass), and Dragos Chiriac (keyboards), delivers a fresh wave of dreamy indie pop and electronic sounds with this release. Equus Asinus marks the first installment of a two-part “Equus” series, with Equus Caballus set to follow in the spring.

In crafting the album, Men I Trust discovered a collection of songs that varied in tone and energy, prompting them to split the project into two separate albums. Both Equus Asinus and its successor feature album covers with photographs by Donna Ferrato, showcasing the band’s admiration for her work.

To promote the album, the band set out on a North American and European tour, performing in cities like Montreal, Quebec City, Ottawa, Brooklyn, Boston, Toronto, Detroit, Chicago, and Los Angeles.
