About Sincerely,

Sincerely, is the fifth studio album by Colombian-American singer Kali Uchis, released on May 9, 2025, through Capitol Records. It marks her return to English-language music following 2024’s Orquídeas, a Spanish-language project. Spanning 14 tracks and clocking in at just under 51 minutes, Sincerely, explores deeply personal themes of grief, healing, motherhood, and transformation.

Originally imagined as a collection of letters to herself and those closest to her, the album grew into a heartfelt and therapeutic expression of life’s most emotional moments. Uchis has called it her most “existential,” “honest,” and “beautiful” work to date—an album shaped by the highs of becoming a mother and the heartbreak of losing her own. The lead single, “Sunshine & Rain…,” released on March 27, 2025, features a touching sample of her mother’s voice, while the follow-up single, “ILYSMIH” (“I Love You So Much It Hurts”), released April 25, was written shortly after giving birth.

Musically, Sincerely, blends dream pop, R&B, and neo-soul, reflecting both a return to her roots and a maturation in her sound. Critics praised the album’s emotional honesty and sonic depth. Rolling Stone highlighted how the album embraces both beauty and chaos, noting that “love and hurt, heaven and earth, birth and loss” coexist throughout the record.

Ultimately, Sincerely, captures a powerful chapter in Kali Uchis’ life, offering fans a raw and intimate portrait of growth, resilience, and the beauty that can emerge from pain.
