About SEQUENCE 01 (Romanized)

SEQUENCE 01(Romanized), is the Romanized version of album SEQUENCE 01 which is the debut studio album from F5ve (formerly known as SG5), dropped on May 5, 2025, marking a bold new chapter in their musical evolution. The album represents a significant shift from their earlier “girl crush” concept, embracing a fusion of J-pop, hyperpop, funk, and rock. With Grammy-winning producer BloodPop® at the helm and contributions from A.G. Cook and Hudson Mohawke, SEQUENCE 01 introduces a genre-blending sound that’s been praised for its innovation.

The album features 11 tracks, including fan favorites like “Firetruck,” “Lettuce,” “Underground,” “UFO,” and “Magic Clock.” Available in both CD and vinyl formats, SEQUENCE 01 comes with exclusive collectibles such as photocards, stickers, and a foldout lyrics poster. Fans who pre-order one of the first 100 CD copies also receive a signed postcard, making the release even more special.

The album’s cover art, photographed by Charlotte Rutherford, features the group—Sayaka, Kaede, Miyuu, Ruri, and Rui—intently studying the contents of a cardboard filing box, symbolizing the group’s fresh creative direction. The design of the album’s visuals was handled by Crystalline Structures, and Timothy Luke designed the F5ve logo.

Critically, SEQUENCE 01 has been lauded for its genre-defying sound, with Clash magazine giving it an 8/10 rating and describing the album as “chaotic, camp, and completely irresistible.” This debut showcases F5ve’s fearless approach to music, and fans can experience it in all its glory through official channels like f5veofficial.com.
